This series of dual power transfer switches and their actuating mechanisms are both powered by an AC220V supply. The power signal is derived from phase A and the neutral line (N) at the input terminals of the normal (preferred) source or the emergency (standby) source.
When the dual power transfer switch is in the automatic mode:

• If the voltage between phase A and the neutral line at the normal source input is normal (AC190–240V), the normal source breaker will be given priority to close, regardless of whether the voltages of phases B and C of the normal source or phases A, B, C, and N of the emergency source are normal. At this time, the power indicator and the normal-close indicator will be illuminated.
• If there is no voltage between phase A and the neutral line at the normal source input, but the voltage between phase A and the neutral line at the emergency source input is normal, the transfer switch will switch to close the emergency breaker, regardless of whether the voltages of phases B and C of either source are normal. At this time, the power indicator and the emergency-close indicator will be illuminated.
• In manual mode, operation is possible regardless of whether the normal or emergency source has voltage. To operate manually, set the manual–automatic selector to the manual position. When the handle is pushed clockwise to the end stop, the emergency breaker (R) opens and the normal breaker (N) closes. When the handle is pushed counterclockwise to the end stop, the emergency breaker (R) closes and the normal breaker (N) opens.
